Nicole Gritis

Nicole grew up watching her Mom practice yoga in the '70s and '80s. She took her first studio class in 1996 after the birth of her first son. Two sons later, yoga provided her with a meditative outlet, allowing her to become more grounded and at peace.

In 2005, Nicole attended her first hot power yoga class and was immediately hooked. Her yoga journey began with a 200-hour Baptiste Power Yoga training, followed by earning her 500-hour certification through Prairie Yoga in Lisle, Illinois. At Prairie, she gained expertise in Yoga Therapeutics, learning to adapt and modify yoga practices for students with common conditions including back, hip, and shoulder issues, depression, cancer, prenatal needs, aging concerns, scoliosis, and more.

In the Chicago suburbs, Nicole taught high school athletes and led Power Vinyasa, Yin, and Restorative classes. She also taught classes at a local brewery and at her local humane society, raising funds by teaching Yoga with Cats. Nicole's classes feature high-energy flows centered around strength and mobility.

Since making Colorado her home in 2019, Nicole enjoys hiking, camping, trail running, snowshoeing. She also works as a real estate agent with the Wells Group and works PRN at Mercy, the local hospital. Her Mom, who still practices 2-3 times weekly at 80 years old, remains Nicole's beautiful reminder that yoga truly IS for everybody at any age.
